API2Cart Editorial Policy

Effective date: July 31, 2026. This policy explains how API2Cart plans, attributes, reviews, updates, and corrects editorial content. Its purpose is to make clear who is responsible for an article, how technical claims are checked, and why a page is published.

Our editorial purpose

API2Cart publishes content to help B2B software providers understand and implement eCommerce integrations. Editorial pages should answer a defined reader question, accurately describe the relevant integration problem, and distinguish general guidance from API2Cart product information. We do not add text merely to reach a word count or create pages that differ only by substituted platform or industry names.

Authorship and attribution

API2Cart uses three public attribution classes:

We do not assign a person as author solely to create an SEO signal. A named byline means that the person has editorial responsibility for the published material. Historical WordPress account ownership may differ from the public editorial attribution and is not treated as proof of authorship.

Research and source standards

For time-sensitive technical facts, writers and editors should prefer primary sources: official platform documentation, API references, standards, release notes, and API2Cart documentation. Important quantitative claims should identify their source and timeframe when that context affects interpretation.

Third-party research may be used for market context when the publisher and methodology are identifiable. A third-party claim should not be presented as API2Cart's first-party result. Links are selected for relevance and evidence; inclusion does not imply endorsement.

Product claims and technical review

Descriptions of API2Cart capabilities should be checked against current product information or documentation. Supported platforms, methods, entities, and platform-specific behavior can change, so readers should consult the current Supported Platforms and API documentation when making implementation decisions.

A technical reviewer is displayed only when a specific person has actually reviewed the material. We do not add a generic reviewer identity or reviewer schema to pages that have not completed that review.

Use of editorial tools

API2Cart may use software tools, including AI-assisted tools, to organize research, identify duplication, improve structure, or support drafting and quality checks. These tools do not replace editorial responsibility. Content must not invent experience, authorship, customer results, product capabilities, sources, or quotations.

Publication and update dates

The publication date represents the original publication of a page. For material reviewed under this policy, the updated date should change only after a substantive revision, such as correcting technical information, replacing outdated guidance, improving evidence, or materially expanding the answer. Typographical fixes and automated deployments should not be presented as substantive content updates.

Historical news may remain available as an archive. When old functionality is no longer current, the preferred treatment is to add clear historical context or a link to current documentation rather than silently rewriting the historical record.

Corrections

When we confirm a material error, we correct it as promptly as practical. The correction should preserve the page's original meaning where possible and update the visible modified date when the change is substantive. If a page no longer serves a distinct purpose, consolidation or redirection is considered only after checking its search traffic, inbound links, and the relevance of the destination.

To report an error, use the API2Cart contact form and include the page URL, the statement you believe is incorrect, and a supporting source when available.

Commercial independence and guest content

API2Cart's editorial content may explain how the API2Cart service addresses an integration problem. Product references should be clearly relevant to the topic and should not obscure limitations or replace the technical answer. Guest contributions are additionally governed by the Guest Post Policy.

Ongoing review

We prioritize reviews using reader value, technical change, factual risk, duplication, organic-search evidence, and product relevance. Page length alone is not a reason to remove or noindex content. The policy itself will be updated when API2Cart's editorial process materially changes.
