What API2Cart Is Evaluating for SAP Business One Integration

01

Candidate data flow

Commerce orders aligned with business partners, items, and financial documents. The final entity and method list will be based on verified vendor API capabilities rather than assumptions.

02

Operational outcome

The intended workflow is to support warehouse and company-specific operational structures. Record ownership and idempotency would be defined before write operations are enabled.

03

Accounting safeguards

The connector would need to handle document dependencies and posting status before updates. Orders, invoices, payments, refunds, settlements, and journal entries would not be treated as interchangeable records.

What We Know About SAP Business One So Far

Based on SAP Business One’s own documentation and API2Cart’s discovery process — not a promise of a release date.

API & Integration. SAP Business One exposes the Service Layer, a modern REST/JSON API that has largely superseded the legacy COM-based DI API and B1i integration layer. It supports both Basic authentication (login with company DB name, user, and password, returning a session cookie valid ~30 minutes) and, from version 10.0 FP2305 onward, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect via an external identity provider such as SAP IAS. Every session is scoped to a single CompanyDB, so integrating with more than one company or tenant requires separate logins and session handling per database.

Is this integration live yet? No. SAP Business One integration is not live yet. Authentication, entities, fields, write operations, webhooks, limits, regional availability, and release timing remain subject to technical discovery and customer demand.

What’s the integration challenge? Engineering discovery must confirm Service Layer availability, database edition, sessions, and object limitations. Unsupported objects or operations would remain outside the published scope.

How is a release decided? Roadmap evaluation includes API maturity, sandbox access, accounting correctness, customer demand, maintenance cost, data residency, rate limits, and overlap with existing connectors. The page records an integration candidate; it does not promise a release date.

Technical validation. Engineering discovery must confirm Service Layer availability, database edition, sessions, and object limitations. Unsupported objects or operations would remain outside the published scope.
