What API2Cart Is Evaluating for DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP Integration

01

Candidate workflow

Connect online order demand with items, customers, schedules, inventory, and shipments. Final entity and method coverage will follow verified vendor interfaces and customer requirements.

02

Operational outcome

The intended result is to retain plant, work-center, tooling, lot, serial, and quality relationships. Identity rules and idempotency would be defined before transactional writes are enabled.

03

ERP safeguards

The design must protect shop-floor planning from incomplete or repeatedly delivered commerce events. Customers, products, sales orders, fulfillments, invoices, and production records would keep their distinct lifecycle roles.

What We Know About DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP So Far

Based on DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP’s own documentation and API2Cart’s discovery process — not a promise of a release date.

API & Integration. DELMIAWorks (formerly IQMS) exposes its ERP/MES functionality through a proprietary WebAPI SDK — a .NET-based service-oriented layer offering both REST/JSON and GraphQL endpoints over the same underlying data structures. Integration requires an initial authentication call using either DELMIAWorks database credentials or vendor-issued integration credentials to obtain a session token, which is then passed on subsequent calls. The SDK ships with its own interface definitions and an offline HTML Help reference rather than a public web-based API portal, so integration work typically depends on vendor- or partner-supplied documentation.

DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP integration is not live yet. Authentication, modules, entities, fields, writes, events, limits, editions, and release timing remain subject to technical discovery and demand.

Background. Dassault Systèmes completed its acquisition of IQMS in January 2019. The IQMS manufacturing ERP portfolio was subsequently rebranded as DELMIAWorks and positioned inside the 3DEXPERIENCE Works portfolio. This lineage matters because customers may still refer to EnterpriseIQ, WebIQ, IQMS, or DELMIAWorks when describing their installation.

Where it specializes. DELMIAWorks is purpose-built for small and midsize manufacturers with a shop-floor-first ERP and manufacturing execution approach. Dassault Systèmes highlights automotive, medical devices, aerospace and defense, packaging, food and beverage, assembly, and general or multi-process manufacturing. The system links orders, scheduling, production, inventory, quality, warehouse operations, shipping, and accounting in real time.

Integration challenge. DELMIAWorks integrations must be scoped against the exact legacy or current product, release, deployment, licensed framework, and published API classes or services. Public product pages establish the operational scope but do not publish a complete current endpoint contract. Discovery must obtain customer-authorized technical documentation and validate authentication, available classes, custom fields, plants, ePlants, inventory locations, lots and serials, BOMs, work orders, real-time production events, quality holds, EDI, and accounting effects. API2Cart should not promise parity between an older IQMS installation and a current DELMIAWorks environment.

Technical validation. Engineering must confirm deployment architecture, available services, authentication, and supported transaction interfaces. Unsupported modules and operations would remain outside the public scope.

Roadmap evaluation considers API maturity, sandbox access, operational correctness, commerce relevance, scale, customer demand, maintenance cost, deployment variants, and overlap with existing connectors. This page records a candidate, not a promised release date.
