What API2Cart Is Evaluating for ERPNext Accounting Integration
Candidate data flow
Store orders coordinated with customers, items, invoices, and ledgers. The final entity and method list will be based on verified vendor API capabilities rather than assumptions.
Operational outcome
The intended workflow is to respect company, warehouse, currency, tax, and fiscal-year setup. Record ownership and idempotency would be defined before write operations are enabled.
Accounting safeguards
The connector would need to support self-hosted deployments with controlled incremental synchronization. Orders, invoices, payments, refunds, settlements, and journal entries would not be treated as interchangeable records.

What We Know About ERPNext Accounting So Far
Based on ERPNext Accounting’s own documentation and API2Cart’s discovery process — not a promise of a release date.
API & Integration. ERPNext, built on the Frappe framework, exposes a REST API supporting three auth methods: API key/secret pairs (recommended for server-to-server use), session token auth, and OAuth 2.0 for third-party apps. It supports configurable webhooks per DocType and event (e.g., on invoice submit), and applies fixed-window rate limiting based on cumulative request time per site rather than a flat request count. Multi-tenancy is handled at the deployment level — each Frappe Cloud "site" (or self-hosted instance) is its own scoped API endpoint, so there is no cross-tenant surface to manage.
Is this integration live yet? No. ERPNext Accounting integration is not live yet. Authentication, entities, fields, write operations, webhooks, limits, regional availability, and release timing remain subject to technical discovery and customer demand.
What’s the integration challenge? Engineering discovery must verify version-specific REST resources, permissions, custom fields, and hooks. Unsupported objects or operations would remain outside the published scope.
How is a release decided? Roadmap evaluation includes API maturity, sandbox access, accounting correctness, customer demand, maintenance cost, data residency, rate limits, and overlap with existing connectors. The page records an integration candidate; it does not promise a release date.
Technical validation. Engineering discovery must verify version-specific REST resources, permissions, custom fields, and hooks. Unsupported objects or operations would remain outside the published scope.
