What API2Cart Is Evaluating for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Integration
Candidate data flow
Commerce data aligned with customers, items, sales documents, and companies. The final entity and method list will be based on verified vendor API capabilities rather than assumptions.
Operational outcome
The intended workflow is to connect multiple storefronts to company-specific accounting processes. Record ownership and idempotency would be defined before write operations are enabled.
Accounting safeguards
The connector would need to retain document status and posting boundaries during synchronization. Orders, invoices, payments, refunds, settlements, and journal entries would not be treated as interchangeable records.

What We Know About Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central So Far
Based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central’s own documentation and API2Cart’s discovery process — not a promise of a release date.
API & Integration. Business Central's API v2.0 provides OData v4 REST endpoints covering roughly 55 standard business entities, authenticated through Microsoft Entra ID OAuth 2.0 (client-credentials/S2S flow is typical for unattended integrations). Documented limits cap usage at about 6,000 requests per user per 5-minute window, 5 concurrent requests, and 100 simultaneous connections, returning HTTP 429 when exceeded. Native webhook subscriptions are supported (validated via a returned validationToken) but expire after 3 days by default and must be renewed programmatically; sandbox environments are available for testing.
Is this integration live yet? No. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central integration is not live yet. Authentication, entities, fields, write operations, webhooks, limits, regional availability, and release timing remain subject to technical discovery and customer demand.
What’s the integration challenge? Engineering discovery must verify Entra authorization, company context, OData endpoints, and extension fields. Unsupported objects or operations would remain outside the published scope.
How is a release decided? Roadmap evaluation includes API maturity, sandbox access, accounting correctness, customer demand, maintenance cost, data residency, rate limits, and overlap with existing connectors. The page records an integration candidate; it does not promise a release date.
Technical validation. Engineering discovery must verify Entra authorization, company context, OData endpoints, and extension fields. Unsupported objects or operations would remain outside the published scope.
