Zoho Books: regional cloud accounting and organization-specific OAuth
Background. Zoho Books is part of the Zoho Finance suite and is offered in multiple country editions. A single global launch year is not asserted here because regional product history and current availability differ; the official product and API sources below define the supported environment.
Where it specializes. Zoho Books serves small and growing businesses with contacts, items, estimates, sales orders, invoices, credit notes, expenses, bills, banking, projects, inventory-related workflows, taxes, and reporting. Regional editions introduce different tax, e-invoicing, currency, and compliance behavior.
API model and integration challenge. The Zoho Books API uses OAuth 2.0, organization identifiers, scoped permissions, regional accounts and API domains, pagination, and webhooks. Discovery must confirm the customer’s data center and country edition, organization, tax rules, item and warehouse configuration, custom fields, currencies, and workflow automations. Customer, invoice, payment, credit-note, refund, and inventory updates must remain idempotent and must not bypass regional fiscal controls.
