What API2Cart Is Evaluating for Deltek Vantagepoint Integration
Candidate workflow
Connect relevant online sales or service requests with clients, projects, and billing workflows. Final entity and method coverage will follow verified vendor interfaces and customer requirements.
Operational outcome
The intended result is to preserve project, phase, organization, labor, currency, and approval dimensions. Identity rules and idempotency would be defined before transactional writes are enabled.
ERP safeguards
The design must support project-based revenue handoffs rather than generic retail order assumptions. Customers, products, sales orders, fulfillments, invoices, and production records would keep their distinct lifecycle roles.

What We Know About Deltek Vantagepoint So Far
Based on Deltek Vantagepoint’s own documentation and API2Cart’s discovery process — not a promise of a release date.
API & Integration. Vantagepoint exposes a RESTful API organized into Hub, Configuration, and Accounting Transaction endpoint categories, requiring a bearer access token on every request. Deltek's API Authorization Integration Utility issues the client ID/secret, and OAuth 2.0 supports password, authorization_code, and refresh_token grants (plus a separate Windows Authentication flag). API releases are versioned to specific Vantagepoint product versions, and Deltek provides Postman collections for exploring and testing endpoints.
Deltek Vantagepoint integration is not live yet. Authentication, modules, entities, fields, writes, events, limits, editions, and release timing remain subject to technical discovery and demand.
Background. Deltek Vantagepoint combines project accounting, resource planning, customer relationship management, time and expense, billing, and business intelligence in one professional-services platform. It succeeds the Deltek Vision and Deltek for Professional Services product lines, so an integration must distinguish Vantagepoint from earlier deployments.
Where it specializes. Vantagepoint is designed for project-based professional firms, particularly architecture and engineering, consulting, and related services. Its central records are projects, organizations, contacts, employees, labor, expenses, billing terms, and accounting transactions—not conventional retail products and warehouses.
Integration challenge. Deltek publishes a versioned JSON REST API covering configuration, hubs, billing, accounting transactions, cash management, general ledger, workflows, timesheets, and third-party integrations. Every call requires an access token and remains subject to the user’s roles, modules, client data, and business rules. Discovery must pin the exact Vantagepoint release, use a sandbox, map project and organization structures, inspect custom fields and code tables, and account for endpoints that are deprecated or whose allowed operations changed between releases.
Technical validation. Engineering must confirm API access, OAuth configuration, hubs, rate limits, and custom field mappings. Unsupported modules and operations would remain outside the public scope.
Roadmap evaluation considers API maturity, sandbox access, operational correctness, commerce relevance, scale, customer demand, maintenance cost, deployment variants, and overlap with existing connectors. This page records a candidate, not a promised release date.
