What API2Cart Is Evaluating for Accounting Seed Integration
Candidate data flow
Commerce transactions linked with Salesforce customers and financial objects. The final entity and method list will be based on verified vendor API capabilities rather than assumptions.
Operational outcome
The intended workflow is to preserve ledger, project, dimension, and accounting-period controls. Record ownership and idempotency would be defined before write operations are enabled.
Accounting safeguards
The connector would need to use platform automation without creating duplicate customer records. Orders, invoices, payments, refunds, settlements, and journal entries would not be treated as interchangeable records.

What We Know About Accounting Seed So Far
Based on Accounting Seed’s own documentation and API2Cart’s discovery process — not a promise of a release date.
API & Integration. Accounting Seed runs as a native managed package on the Salesforce platform rather than a separate hosted service, so integration uses the standard Salesforce REST/SOAP/Bulk APIs secured by Salesforce OAuth 2.0, with Accounting Seed-specific objects documented across its own API v1 and v2 reference guides. Testing uses standard Salesforce sandbox orgs, and access is scoped per Salesforce org rather than through a separate API key or tenant model.
Is this integration live yet? No. Accounting Seed integration is not live yet. Authentication, entities, fields, write operations, webhooks, limits, regional availability, and release timing remain subject to technical discovery and customer demand.
What’s the integration challenge? Engineering discovery must check package schema, Salesforce limits, permissions, and supported posting workflows. Unsupported objects or operations would remain outside the published scope.
How is a release decided? Roadmap evaluation includes API maturity, sandbox access, accounting correctness, customer demand, maintenance cost, data residency, rate limits, and overlap with existing connectors. The page records an integration candidate; it does not promise a release date.
Technical validation. Engineering discovery must check package schema, Salesforce limits, permissions, and supported posting workflows. Unsupported objects or operations would remain outside the published scope.
