What API2Cart Is Evaluating for Deltek Costpoint Integration
Candidate workflow
Connect permitted commerce demand with customers, projects, items, orders, and billing context. Final entity and method coverage will follow verified vendor interfaces and customer requirements.
Operational outcome
The intended result is to retain project, organization, account, contract, cost, and approval structures. Identity rules and idempotency would be defined before transactional writes are enabled.
ERP safeguards
The design must avoid weakening regulated controls or mixing commercial events with approved project costs. Customers, products, sales orders, fulfillments, invoices, and production records would keep their distinct lifecycle roles.

What We Know About Deltek Costpoint So Far
Based on Deltek Costpoint’s own documentation and API2Cart’s discovery process — not a promise of a release date.
API & Integration. Costpoint supports both REST and SOAP web services with token-based authentication; its REST APIs offer OAuth 2.0 (password, authorization code, client credentials, and PKCE grants), API keys, username/password, and certificate-based JWT authentication, where a public certificate is linked to the Costpoint user account. As a GovCon-focused ERP, Costpoint Cloud deployments also layer in a chosen SSO model (ADFS, Azure AD, or Okta) for interactive users, separate from API service credentials. Documentation and endpoint guides are versioned per Costpoint release.
Deltek Costpoint integration is not live yet. Authentication, modules, entities, fields, writes, events, limits, editions, and release timing remain subject to technical discovery and demand.
Background. Deltek Costpoint is purpose-built for government contractors rather than positioned as a general retail ERP. Its integrated environment connects project accounting, contracts, procurement, materials, manufacturing, labor, time and expense, and reporting.
Where it specializes. Costpoint’s defining context is regulated project work for government agencies and prime contractors. Transactions may need to retain project, organization, account, funding, contract-line, indirect-cost, labor-category, and audit-trail attributes. Inventory and purchasing can also be governed by project ownership and compliance rules.
Integration challenge. Deltek publishes Costpoint API and integration documentation by product release, including extensibility and integration-console guidance. Feasibility therefore depends on the customer’s exact version, licensed modules, exposed services, authentication, custom fields, project structures, and security roles. API2Cart must not convert an ecommerce order directly into an approved project cost or contract transaction: mapping, validation, approvals, error recovery, and audit evidence have to be designed around the contractor’s configured controls.
Technical validation. Engineering must validate web services, authentication, supported domains, audit requirements, and deployment version. Unsupported modules and operations would remain outside the public scope.
Roadmap evaluation considers API maturity, sandbox access, operational correctness, commerce relevance, scale, customer demand, maintenance cost, deployment variants, and overlap with existing connectors. This page records a candidate, not a promised release date.
